The Alumni Association of Iloko Model College, has congratulated teachers on World Teachers’ Day, celebrated on October 5, each year.

The alumni association in a statement signed by its Interim President, Dr. Timilehin Ogungbangbe-Jegede through the office of the Publicity Secretary, Femi Adaramaja, lauded the teachers unique role in the overall development of the students, school, society and Nigeria.

“On behalf of the entire members of Iloko Model College (formerly Iloko Community Model Grammar School) Old Students’Association (IMCOSA), we want to use this opportunity to celebrate all our teachers (old and new) for all they have done in bringing the best out of us”.

“Indeed, teachers give root to every profession on earth, teachers through their unique way teach the young ones how to be conformists in the society”.

“While the contributions of teachers in keeping the society afloat cannot be overemphasized, it’s unfortunately that they are not given their dues”.

“We cannot but ‘solidarize’ with the very profession who have kept the society working, despite poor renumeration and indescribable condition of service in most cases on this auspicious occasion “.

“We know it for a fact that Nigerians students most especially all of us IMCOSA are all products of teachers and we really acknowledge your efforts “.

“You are the one who taught us to dream, who inspired the hope in us and made this life look beautiful for us all”.

“We all know that it is not easy being a teacher and it is surely a challenge to be a wonderful teacher and you are truly a wonderful teacher in every sense and we say thank you for the knowledge impacted in us”.

“We pray that may the God Almighty strengthen you all our teachers to enjoy the fruit of your sacrifices”. Amen).

Happy Teachers’Day!

E-signed,
Dr. Timilehin Ogungbangbe-Jegede
