In a swift operation, the Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 23 suspected internet fraudsters in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
The arrests were made on Thursday, May 2, 2024, following a tip-off on their alleged involvement in online fraudulent activities.
The EFCC operatives recovered several items from the suspects, including a laptop and mobile phones.
The suspects will face charges in court once investigations are complete.
This arrest is a significant milestone in the fight against internet fraud and cybercrime in the state, and the EFCC has vowed to continue its efforts to rid the country of fraudsters and bring them to justice.
