Governor Umo Eno Celebrates One Year in Office, ARISE Ambassadors Praise Achievements

Uyo, Akwa Ibom State – Governor Umo Eno marked his first year in office on Monday, May 29, 2023, with a commendation from ARISE Ambassadors, a socio-political group, for his outstanding achievements in various sectors.

According to a statement by the group’s Director of Information, Mr. Paul Ufot, Governor Eno has made significant strides in infrastructure development, education, agriculture, aviation, healthcare, and housing, among others.

The group highlighted the governor’s accomplishments, including the completion of nearly 80 road projects, the establishment of model primary schools, and the empowerment of youths through the Ibom Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Programme.

Governor Eno’s commitment to education was also praised, with the provision of free educational materials and a 100 million Naira Education Trust Fund for persons with disabilities.

In agriculture, the governor’s vision for food sufficiency and security was commended, with the replication of the successful Songhai Farms model in Akwa Ibom State.

The group also praised the governor’s efforts in aviation sector development, healthcare, and housing, as well as his commitment to inclusivity and unity, extending a sense of belonging to all parts of the State through development projects and appointments.

ARISE Ambassadors described Governor Eno as a “detribalized” leader who prioritizes the welfare of all, and expressed their joy and fulfillment in supporting a leader who has led well and exceeded their expectations in his first year.
