High School Student Stabs Mate to Death in Ibadan

There was a clash recorded between two secondary schools in Ibadan , Islamic High School and Islamic Day Secondary School at Bashorun, Ibadan, Oyo state which result to the death of one 16-year-old male student.

Report revealed that the fight between the two secondary schools has been for a while, such to be explained as rivalry and it get more tougher all days.

The deceased was said to be a student of Islamic High School, Yakubu Ogunmola by name who was in SSS1 before his demise.

It was gathered that the young boy was stabbed to death, though he was rushed to the hospital if only he could pull through but the case was a sad one.

According to the deceased father who insisted that the death of his son is not in anyway connected to the fight between the two secondary school and should be perfectly investigated by the government. “the clash between the two school occurred in the afternoon while my son was killed in the morning, with the look of things my son was deliberately killed…”

“Government should not take this matter with levity. This fighting cases are becoming rampant between our secondary schools…why would football result into fighting and killing. We need to stop this.” the mother of the deceased exclaimed.

However, the matter as at press time is rightly in the custody of the Nigeria Police Force.
