6 PRINCES ASK COURT TO NULLIFY NEW AGURA OF GBAGURA ELECT, STOP CORONATION CEREMONY

Six out of nine candidates that vied for Agura of Gbagura vacant stool filed an application for interlocutory injunction to  restrain the new Agura of Gbagura’s elect, Saburee Babajide  and other defendants in suit no Ab/292/2019  not to perform Iwuye coronation ceremony slated for 18/8/2019 pending determination of the substantive suit.

They are prince Sharafadeen Ogunwoolu, Prince Saburi Ayinde Adeyemi , prince Sufian Soetan,  Prince Alhaji Salihu Adetunji Nasir , Prince Kabiru Abolade and Prince Wasiu Adeyinka Adeosun.

The claimants in SUIT NO : AB/292/ 2019 also draged the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and other 19 other  defendants  to court

It would be recalled that the immediate past  governor, Senator Ibikunle  Amosun presented staff of office and certificate to Oba Babajide Bakre as the new Agura of Gbagura.

However, the coronation is scheduled to hold on  18th August 2019.

 The presiding judge, justice  P. F Oduniyi adjourned the case till 23rd of August 2019.

According to the court, the motion on notice date 8/8/19 is adjourned to 23/8/2019 for hearing, all defendants/respondents in this suit are to be put on notice
