Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu will, on Tuesday, 24th December 2019, commission the new Ultra-Modern Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS) Office infrastructure to create a conducive working environment that will increase staff productivity.

Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde made the disclosure recently, explaining that the new infrastructure, located at VIS Yard, Ojodu, is made up of several office apartments, Training Hall, Conference Centre and Information Technology Unit (ICT) Unit.

Oladeinde further disclosed that the building will also accommodate a one-stop centre for operations of agencies such as the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (MVAA).

He noted that the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology recently developed by the State Government for traffic law enforcement has been installed within the facility to process and analyse various traffic offences captured by the ANPR machine.

While expressing confidence that the new infrastructure would boost the morale of officers, the Commissioner charged personnel to justify the government’s huge investment towards reforming the transport sector by rededicating themselves to duty and showing more commitment to unlocking traffic gridlocks in the metropolis.
