IDG2021: Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Calls On Government To Promote girls’ Education, Empowerment

The President of Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, Alhaji Asiwaju Dapo Wahab JP has encouraged everyone and Government to support girl-child education.

Asiwaju Dapo Wahab made this known in a statement released to commemorate the International Day of Girl-Child with the theme, “Step outside the gender box: Learning free from stereotypes”

Noting that the International Day of Girl-Child is celebrated on 11th October every year as a day set aside by United Nations to amplify the voices and rights of every girl child.

Asiwaju Dapo Wahab said, “The International Day of Girl-Child also focuses attention on the need to address the challenges Girl-Child face and how to promote girl’ education, empowerment and fulfilment of their human rights.”

“Breaking gender inequality by helping build an equal world for every child, as this day aims to close the gap that prevents girl from reaching their full potential as well as to encourage them to rise above digital divide experienced by today’s generation of girls”

“I encourage everyone and government to support girls education , empowerment, helping in accessing quality learning opportunities to better their lives, communities and to develop their skill and confidence, he concluded.
