COVID-19: violators of coronavirus restriction order to face imprisonment, fine -SSG

The Secretary to the Niger State Government, Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, has said that anyone who does not abide by the directives and restrictions imposed by government is liable to a fine or imprisonment or both in accordance with the extant laws.

Tropic reporter gathered that, the SSG stated this during a press briefing yesterday said that government has adopted the measure following observed disregard to the directives put in place by government to avoid the spread of Corona Virus in Niger State.

“government is trying to avoid an impending health and economic calamity through the prevention of the spread of the disease stated that it has become extremely important to take necessary measures”.

He further called on Nigerlites to desist from spreading false information, clarifying that “the government has not banned the call to prayers ” as is being speculated in the state.
