Veteran broadcaster, Kabiru Usman Fagge is dead

Veteran broadcaster, Kabiru Usman Fagge, has been confirmed dead.

The news of Fagge’s passing was contained in a condolence message by President Bola Tinubu to the family on Saturday, December 16.

President Tinubu expressed grief over the passing of the veteran broadcaster who died on Friday, 15th Dec, in the United States of America.

In a statement signed by presidential media aide, Ajuri Ngelale, described Fagge, aged 77, as an enduring name across the Hausa-speaking world for his long career with the Hausa service of the Voice of America, spanning 25 years.

President Tinubu extolled the contributions of the deceased to nation-building, particularly his sensitization on and advocacy for education through the well-known weekly education programme he anchored.

The President further condoled with the family of the deceased, the government, and the people of Kano State, as well as the Nigerian journalism community over the loss.
