Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele, has urged Nigerians to continually pray for the success of the policies and programs of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration in repositioning the country.
Speaking during the Eid prayers marking the end of the Holy month of Ramadan at the Ota Central Eid ground, Salako-Oyedele emphasized the importance of optimism for a renewed Nigeria and expressed satisfaction with the positive impact of the government’s initiatives on the nation’s economy.
She reaffirmed Governor Dapo Abiodun’s commitment to equitable distribution of democracy’s dividends across the state and urged citizens to pray for the government’s ability to do more for the people.
Additionally, she advised Muslims to adhere to Islamic teachings and live by the lessons learned during Ramadan, praying for Allah’s acceptance of their supplications as acts of worship.
Meanwhile, the Chief Imam of Ota and Aworiland, Sheik Buhari Aina-Aladi, stressed the importance of applying Ramadan teachings to address Nigeria’s challenges, urging Muslims to avoid actions that could hinder their rewards from the holy month.
The Olota of Ota, Oba Abdulkabir Obalanlege, echoed similar sentiments, appealing to youths to steer clear of social vices like thuggery and cultism, emphasizing that reverting to such behaviors avoided during Ramadan is unacceptable in the sight of Allah.
