The Federal Government will close the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos for repairs from midnight on Saturday, October 21, to midnight on Sunday, October 22.

It was gathered that the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos State, Mrs Olukorede Kesha, said in a statement that the closure is necessary to carry out palliative works on the most critically failed sections along the Adeniji bound carriageway.

Kesha said the government is working on plans to carry out comprehensive repairs on the bridge, but the palliative works are necessary to alleviate the pains currently being experienced by motorists.

She advised motorists to cooperate with the traffic management officials by obeying and observing all diversions as directed.
