Emir of Ningi, Yunusa Muhammad Danyaya, Dies at 84

The Emir of Ningi in Bauchi State, Alhaji Yunusa Muhammad Danyaya, has passed away at the age of 84.

He died in the early hours of Sunday in Kano, where he was receiving medical attention for age-related health issues.

The Emir’s death was announced by the Secretary of the Emirate, Alhaji Usman Sule, Magayakin Ningi, in a statement.

He will be buried on Sunday evening at 4 pm, following a funeral prayer at the Emir’s Palace in Ningi.

Alhaji Yunusa Muhammad Danyaya was a respected monarch and leader in the region, known for his wisdom and contributions to the community.

His death has been met with an outpouring of tributes and condolences from across the region.

The statement reads, “Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un (We belong to Allah and to Him we hope). God bless His Majesty the King of Ningi, Dr. Yunusa Muhammadu Dan Yaya (OON), passed away this morning, Sunday in Kano.

“The funeral will be held at four o’clock in the evening at the gate of the Palace. Announcement from the Secretary of the Palace, Alhaji Usman Sule, Magayakin Ningi.”
