BOILING POINT: Femi Emmanuel, Oladosu to Dissect Nigeria’s Retrogression Despite Long Prayers

The much-publicized Global Ranking of Praying Nations which put Nigeria as 2nd Most Prayerful Country and the reality of our continued retrogression as a nation will be on the front burner at the monthly BOILING POINT ARENA interview discourse slated for Sunday November 12, 2023.

Expected on the podium as Discussants are two eminent clerics of both the Christian and Islamic divides, Pastor Femi Emmanuel and Prof Afis Ayinde Oladosu.

Pastor Femi Emmanuel, who once had a foray into politics and subsequently got elected Deputy Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, is the Presiding Pastor, Living Spring International Church while Prof Afis Oladosu is of the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies, University of Ibadan.

Boiling Point Arena, the 13th in the monthly series of the online interview discourse, will hold via Google Meet on Sunday and is expected to be transmitted live by an Abeokuta-based radio station, Sweet 107.1FM, for the two hour duration from 8pm to 10pm.

The once-in-a-month current affairs programme, with an incredibly large online followership, is the brainchild of the Initiator and Convener, Dr Ayo Arowojolu, a Media Professional with 33 years multi-varied work career experience spanning the media, banking and education sectors.

This particular edition is titled: ” *Global Ranking of Praying Nations: Why is God Not Answering Prayers of Nigerians for National Progress?*

Both Pastor Emmanuel and Prof Ayinde are expected to offer insightful perspectives on the subject matter of prayer and how to get God’s attention at a time of despair, and in particular, for national progress.

The duo are also expected to walk the global audience through Nigeria’s journey to nationhood and the several phases of the country’s development as well as pin-point the spiritual dimensions and diagnosis of our retrogression as a nation.

Penciled as keynote Speaker at the interview session is one of Nigeria’s foremost monarchs, the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba Prof Saka Matemilola, in his capacity as Chairman, Boiling Point Council of Royals and Elders.

According to a statement by the Chairman, Organizing Committee for the programme, Mr Eddy Ademosu, one of Nigeria’s notable Public Relations Icon, the interview discourse will in particular point the way forward for the country in furtherance of regaining the once enviable status as Africa’s Giant.

Mr Ademosu commended the Board and Management of Sweet FM, chaired by the Promoter, Senator Olugbenga Obadara for identifying with worthy causes through partnering with the Boiling Point platform to widen the audience reach through its terrestrial and online channels
