The Ogun State governorship candidate of Alliance Action Congress (AAC), Hon. Harrison Adeyemi has cautioned Governor Dapo Abiodun against imposing king on the people of Ibu Onipe Kingdom in Abigi Local Government of Ogun waterside without following due tradition by the kingmakers.
Hon. Adeyemi urged Abiodun not to disrupt the peaceful coexistence of Onipe Kingdom following his recent moves.
The guber candidate lamented that it’s been three years the community has been without a king.
He however decried Abiodun’s moves to introduce warrant Chiefs in the selection of a new king which was unanimously rejected by the people.
While urging the governor not to interfere in the selection process, Adeyemi stated that the kingmakers should be allowed to interface with the royal families to enable a free and fair selection process.
He however encouraged Gov. Abiodun to be more focused on his agenda to fulfill all promises made to the people of the state instead of running after irrelevance of trying to hijack the role of established kingmakers.
