The Ogun State Head of Service, Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu,has assured that government would continue to accord priority to welfare of the entire workforce, just as he promised government’s commitment to taking advantage of opportunities provided by the National Housing Funds to meet the housing need of workers.
Engr. Bisiriyu gave the assurance while fielding questions from members of the House Committee on Establishments and Public Service as part of the ongoing 2019 budget performance appraisal.
He noted that government had continued to encourage home -ownership among public servants through its different housing estates and schemes.
He assured that the workers, who currently occupy the Ibara Housing units were being effectively monitored so as to prevent subletting of the facility.
Earlier in his remarks, a member representing Odeda State Constituency, Hon Oludaisi Elemide sought for effective maintenance of workers’ estate at Ibara while urging the office to put in place efforts at creating more housing schemes for workers in the State.
The Committee also appraised the 2019 budget of the Ministry of Community Development and Cooperatives.
