The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the sale of Direct Entry registration forms across the nation and selected foreign centers.
In a statement by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, on Tuesday, the registration process is set to begin on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, and concludes on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
JAMB clarified that the sale is open to foreign candidates seeking tertiary education in Nigeria through the Direct Entry mode, emphasizing its commitment to ensuring a fair and equal opportunity for all candidates, regardless of their status.
However, the Board issued a warning, stating that it would not process candidates’ applications from awarding institutions that have not honored requests for the verification of A’level certificates presented by some candidates for the 2023 admission.
The statement outlined requirements for candidates not awaiting results, emphasizing the need to upload A’level qualifications, O’level results, and DE registration templates during registration.
The Board specified that no DE candidates would be processed for admission until claimed results are uploaded and verified by awarding institutions on the Board’s Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) mail platform.
For DE candidates awaiting A’level results of IJMB/JUPEB/NABTEB, the statement indicated the necessity of uploading their Admission Letter and Registration Template during registration.
Additionally, applicants with Cambridge certificates predating the 2018 examination year were advised to visit Cambridge directly for verification, a process that may take up to 28 days.
The Board also provided an opportunity for upgrading from UTME to DE, with a condition applicable to candidates whose DE results have not been released at the UTME registration point.
These candidates must have indicated their status and supplied necessary particulars in the uploaded registration template.
