Federal Government Announces 24-Hour Total Closure of Third Mainland Bridge

The Federal Ministry of Works disclosed on Monday that both carriageways of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State would be completely closed to traffic from noon on Wednesday to noon on Thursday.

Mrs. Olukorede Kesha, the Federal Controller of Works, Lagos, provided this information in a statement to the media.

The decision for the total closure is part of the ongoing rehabilitation efforts on the bridge. Kesha emphasized that the bridge would not be accessible to traffic during this critical 24-hour period.

Commuters are urged to seek alternative routes during this time, and the statement conveyed regrets for any inconveniences caused.

To ensure smooth traffic management, motorists are advised to cooperate with deployed traffic officials during the closure period.

The Lagos State Government has also issued a notification regarding the planned total closure of the bridge.
