Opeodu Rotimi Becomes New Elega Rotary Club President

The Rotary Club of Elega under the Abeokuta Metropolis District 9110 has elected new executive to run its affairs for tenure, following the expiration of the successful administration of its immediate past former Rotarian Olumide Majekodunmi.

The inauguration of the new officers led by Rotarian Opeodu Rotimi Olanrewaju was held on Thursday at 1st Point Hotel, located at Elega, Abeokuta, under the strict compliance of the coronavirus physical distance rules.

The inauguration ceremony of Rotarian Opeodu Rotimi Olanrewaju led administration was performed by the Immediate Past President of the prestigious club, Rotarian Olumide Majekodunmi with huge support from other members of the noble rotary club.

In his acceptance speech, Rotarian Opeodu appreciated the club Past Presidents, Members for the honour and equally thanked all well-wishers, friends and associates for the love, support and presence at the low key event due to the pandemic that has thrown the world into another phase of life.

Rotarian Opeodu thereafter expressed his commitment to lead the club to a greater height as the club would experience new milestones in the new rotary year.

He equally solicited for the support, love and dedication of members in all ramifications to ensure smooth running of the club and to also sustain the vision of the club following global best practices.

He concluded with an appreciation note to the immediate past executives for sailing the ship of the club to an outstanding end.

The installation ceremony also witnessed presentation of certificates of recognitions to past executives who have served the club in their best capacities and urged for their continuous supports and commitments.

The club leadership however implored Rotarians, Friends and Well-wishers in the society to support the vision and laudable projects of the club.

Meanwhile, the club is said to hold a proper investiture after the battle against the novel Covid-19 might have been won.
