COVID-19: Gov Douye Diri Declares Total Lockdown As Bayelsa Records Index Case

The Bayelsa state Governor, Senator Douye Diri has declared a total lockdown in Bayelsa state following the confirmation of an index case of Coronavirus (Covid-19).

The NCDC confirmed the first case of Coronavirus on Sunday night.

As a preventive measure the Governor in press conference pronounced a total lockdown, urging everyone to stay at home for the period of one (1) week, except those on essential duties.

The Governor launched Bayelsa Covid 19 toll free lines to ensure prompt dissemination of information period of pandemic. They are: 09010999972, 09010999969.

He however urged Bayelsans not to Panic as Government is ontop of the situation.
