Oyo records second COVID-19 death

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has confirmed the second COVID-19-related death in the state.

Makinde gave the confirmation via a post on his Twitter handle early Monday.

He said, sadly, “one of the new COVID-19 cases announced yesterday, passed away this morning. This brings the number of COVID-19 related deaths in the state to two.“

“So, there are currently eight active cases in Oyo State” he added

On Sunday night, Nigeria recorded 91 new cases of COVID-19. The total confirmed cases is currently 1273.
