The Chairman of Labour Party, Ogun State Chapter, Comrade Abayomi Arabambi has appealed to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun on the need to be much more vigilant on the people reported to have Coronavirus but hiding their status and trying to secure treatment at home privately.

This appeal was contained in a 2-page letter signed by Comrade Abayomi Arabambi and addressed to the governor on Monday in Abeokuta.

Arabambi said in a bid to avoid any situation that could rubbish the great job of the Government on the Corona virus containment in the State, the state government should compel Hon. Ladi Adebutu to disclose the status of his Covid-19 test carried out at Lagos State Teaching Hospital rather than his home – treatment and secrecy methods that could endanger lots of his domestic staff and security details.

A copy of the letter obtained by our correspondent reads, “it is widely known that Hon Ladi Adebutu has done Covid-19 test at LUTH in Lagos through information obtained from his aides and that has since Gone Viral on social media, but rather than disclose the result of his, he rather opted for a home – treatment and secrecy.”

“The danger here is that, Hon Ladi Adebutu has lots of domestic staff security details, friends and family who may be endangered by the secrecy and the hidden covid- 19 status of Hon Ladi Adebutu who in the last few days been in a meeting with Engr Bayo Dayo the suspended ex Chairman of PDP who unfortunately appears on OGTV yesterday and Alhaji Semiu Sodipo also.”

“Again it is a fact that Hon Ladi Adebutu and host of his political aides and security personnel were at the highly suspected ibadan PDP unification rallies that increased the spread of the virus in Ibadan from where many top notchers were suspected to have got in contact with the virus including Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State”

“On the internet today, the media aide to Hon Ladi Adebutu. Mr Musthapa Musa Dapo(MMD) confessed that he has gone for a covid-19 test and awaiting the result.”

“My very strong and hard appeal to the Governor is that it should be noted that in the effort at reducing the spread of the virus to avoid the experiences of Countries like USA and Italy, the process of containment should be holistic. Not in anyway encumbered by anyone’s social status as the denial and counter denial of over 700 death recorded in KANO STATE NIGERIA is still very much fresh in the public.”

“Finally, I very much strongly suggest that, Hon Ladi Adebutu should be advise or compel to disclosed his status immediately while his following aides, Alhaji Semiu Sodipo, Engr Bayo Dayo, Prince Lekan Tejuosho, Ashaye Barbington Deji, Ajomale Lukman, Leye Odunjo, Hon. Daisi Akintan, Elder Akinhanmi, Adeleye Lukman, Solomon Abiodun Salami, Asiwaju Bankole Akinloye, Hassan Odewunmi, Waliu Olawale Oladipupo, Prince Olatoye Osungboye and all known security personnel attached to him should be made to do the quarantine immediately to observed compulsory Isolation. test and face.”

“Above is in view of the need to avoid any situation that can rubbish the great job of the Government on the Corona virus containment in the State and that was attested to by the world health organization (WHO) and the National center for desease control (NCDC).”
