Civil/Public Servants have been assured that their contributions to the service of Ogun State can never go unappreciated as a day of reward and recognition would always come.
The Head of Service, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun, brought this to bare at an Appreciation Luncheon/Awards held at the Nandas Hotel, Sagamu, put together by the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu in recognition of meritorious service rendered to the State by illustrious sons and daughters who have served in the hospital since its inception.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Service Matters, Office of the Head of Service, Mr. Hammed Ojo, the Head of Service said workers still in service should take events of such as an encouragement to do more and urged them to rededicate themselves to the service of the State.
While congratulating the Board, Management and Staff of the hospital for organising the event, as well as the awardees for distinguishing themselves in their career, Mr. Fagbohun said personal sacrifices and patriotism took them to the peak and asked that same be emulated by all workers.
“This is a first class gathering and it is a signal that what one is able to contribute to the system is well appreciated. This will serve as an encouragement to those in service to rededicate themselves to the service of the State”, the Head of Service said.
In his remarks, the Chairman, Board of Management, OOUTH, Dr. Kunle Hassan, appreciated the Board Members, Heads of Departments, Unions and Staff for the support given to him since assumption of office and most especially, the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for the trust reposed in him to be able to change the system and make it more efficient.
He also appreciated the governor on his choice of the immediate past HoS, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro, as this made them proud in the medicals as well as every stakeholder in OOUTH for being a good part of the success story recorded at this point in time.
