‘We’ll continue to provide best conducive learning environment’, OOU Vice Chancellor

The Vice Chancellor of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye Prof. Ayodeji Agboola, has assured that the institution will continue to provide the best conducive learning environment that would in turn produce world class students with a competitive edge in Nigeria and at the global level.

Prof. Agboola gave the assurance while presenting the 2023 budget performance of the institution for the first quarter before the members of the Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Education, Science and Technology led by Hon. Adeyemi Ademuyiwa, at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

He disclosed that the school would open for the new academic section next month, stating that more infrastructure was being added to aid teaching and learning in the school.

The Vice Chancellor listed some of the ongoing projects in the school include construction and furnishing of Faculty of Science Building, Main Campus, construction and furnishing of Faculty of Agricultural Science Building, Ayetoro Campus, construction of 750- seater Lecture Theatre donated by Capt. Lawal Fagbo at the Main Campus and the construction of one storey building for the Faculty of Admin and Management Sciences at the main Campus.

Other institutions that had their budget performance appraised by the State lawmakers are Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Saapade which achieved over 50% revenue generation within the period under review and Tai Solarin University of Education that also returned over 33% revenue achievement within the first quarter.

Others included the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, Ijebu-Igbo, Gateway Industrial and Petrol-Gas Institute, Oni amongst others.
