So-Safe nabbed Man in Ogun with Vehicle stolen from Ondo

The Ogun State Government owned security Outfit, So-Safe Corps have arrested a 40 – years-old bricklayer, Saheed Erinfolami over a vehicle theft in Ilaro, Ogun State.

Erinfolami, a native of Ipobe, Republic of Benin who absconded with a Volkwagen Bus registered with REE 907 XA, belonging to his employer in Ondo State.

According to a statement released from the office of the State Commander through the Corps Director of Information and Public Relations, ACC Moruf Yusuf, the arrest of Erinfolami was initiated following an intelligence report received.

ACC Moruf said, “men of the security agency having been contacted about the stolen vehicle and also to arrest the suspect, quickly embarked on special duties in border area to ensure the vehicle was not exported to the neighbouring country”

“Meanwhile, the State Operation Team and Ilaro Area Command of the Corps swung into action and were able to gather report that the car was still within Ilaro axis and the suspect was smoked out of his hidden and arrested at about 7:4500hrs”.

“The suspect having arrested, confessed to the crime and that the stolen vehicle belong to his employer, Mr. Tajudeen popularly called Igbeyinadun”.

“He further confessed that after the bread were supplied, that he decided to go away with the car and brought it to his town brother called Elewedu who reside in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area to get buyer for the stolen vehicle”, he stated.

ACC Moruf noted further that the suspect and the recovered vehicle have been transferred to Nigeria Police in Ilaro Divisional Command for further investigation and likely prosecution.
