Christians have been urged to always serve God genuinely as it attracts His blessings and rewards.
Pastor Ayo Odurombi, the presiding pastor of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), English Assembly, Home of Champions, gave the advice during his sermon to mark the Church’s 6th anniversary on Sunday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
In his sermon from Hebrew 11 vs 6 with the theme: “The Great Rewarder”, said for Christians to enjoy God’s provisions, they must recommit themselves to God’s work for his unending rewards.
According to him, “serving God demands effective service from everyone and this guarantees our rewards”.
“Everyone has been commissioned to serve God and it has to start by offering yourself to Him, because it is an opportunity for one to be blessed”.
“Do not serve God in vain, you must put aside every burden and be ready for every good work, as there is profit in every labour,” he said.
He called on Christians to always render service in the household of God for His work to prosper and for God to bless them in all areas of life’s endeavour.
He reminded the congregation that anything they do, they do it unto God and not for humans and the reason God gives us gifts is in order to use them and serve Him.
The church 6th anniversary which commenced on Wednesday 11th to Sunday 15th, October, featured power encountered revival programme, variety night and thanksgiving service.
On his part, the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Essien Region Superintendent, Pastor Issac Olu Eyebiokin, urged Christians to seek the power of God as the only remedy that would enhance their spiritual lives and growth in the service to God.
He said the assembly within the last six years have been committed towards raising apostolic army in God’s vineyard.
He equally prayed for the presiding pastor, church congregation for growth in years to come.
Meanwhile, the anniversary service also featured special ministrations, choreography,, among others.
