Rescue Oyo Group Moves To Endorse PDP Candidate, Engr Seyi Makinde Ahead of 2019 Guber Polls

According to news report gathered by Tropic Reporters has it that a youth-based social political group in Oyo state known as the Rescue Oyo State group is set to visit and meet with the Oyo State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for the forthcoming governorship election,  Engr Seyi Makinde on Sunday 20th January for official endorsement and interactive session.

The group reached a consensus among its stakeholders and members late last year after all parties’ governorship primaries were held in Oyo State to agree on the candidate to rescue Oyo state from what the group describes as “the present disastrous and anti-people government” of the APC government under the leadership of Senator Ajibola Ajumobi.

The group said they arrived at this conclusion after “a painstaking and thorough cross-examination of all the state’s gubernatorial candidates for the forthcoming governorship polls”.

According to the group, “it was concluded and unanimously agreed that Engr Seyi Makinde of the PDP possesses all the credentials, ability, credibility and charisma to govern the state for the next four years”.

The Rescue Oyo State group also hinted that it shall shortly after the meeting with their endorsed candidate, kick-start its door – door campaign for the people’s choice, Seyi Makinde on the 23rd of January at Atiba local government area of the state.

The statement also added that the “objective of the campaign is to take Engr Seyi Makinde plans for a better Oyo state to the people”, adding that “the visit shall also include private bloggers and other Online publishers across the state and the entire South-West region”.
