Abuja, Nigeria – President Bola Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria on Wednesday, May 10, 2024, after a medical trip to Europe, according to a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

The President had been away from the country for over a week, sparking concerns about his health.

Sources close to the presidency confirmed that Tinubu traveled to Paris, France, for medical reasons, but details of his condition remain undisclosed.

Tinubu’s return comes as a relief to many Nigerians who had been anxiously awaiting his comeback. The presidency has yet to release an official statement on the president’s health, but sources indicate that he is in good spirits and ready to resume his duties as president.

The president’s medical trip abroad has sparked debate about the need for Nigerian leaders to prioritize the country’s healthcare system and seek medical attention at home.

This is not the first time a Nigerian president has traveled abroad for medical care, and many are calling for increased investment in the country’s healthcare infrastructure.
