Apomu in Isokan Local Government Area of the State of Osun was agog on Friday as the ancient town played host to political and traditional leaders across the country who came to witness the coronation of the new traditional ruler of the town, his royal majesty Oba Kayode Adenekan Afolabi Atoyebi II.
Among those who thronged the ADC Government high school the venue of the Coronation was the Deputy Governor State of Osun Mr. Benedict Olugboyega Alabi who was flanked by his wife Mrs Oyefunke Alabi.
The Alaafin of Oyo his imperial Majesty Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi and the Ooni of Ife His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II led an array of traditional leaders in the Yoruba land and across the Nation to the programme.
The new Alapomu of Apomu was presented with staff of Office and instrument of appointment at the event by the state government of Osun.
It would be recalled that the appointment of the new Alapomu of Apomu, Oba Kayode Adenekan Afolabi was recently approved by Governor Gboyega Oyetola in January 2020.
