Osun Commissioner, Ogungbangbe Donates N1M to Downpour Victims, Urges Community Support

Osun State Commissioner for Cooperatives and Empowerment, Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe, has stepped forward to support the victims of the recent heavy downpour that wreaked havoc in Iloko Ijesa on the 19th of March, 2024.

Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe announced a donation of N1 million towards the relief efforts for those affected by the devastating floods.

The heavy rainfall, which lasted for a few hours, resulted in flash floods that inundated homes and displaced many residents in Iloko Ijesa. Recognizing the urgent need to assist those affected, Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe swiftly mobilized resources to provide relief to the victims.

In a statement issued by his office, Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe emphasized the importance of standing together as a community during challenging times.

He called on well-meaning individuals, corporate bodies, and organizations to join hands in supporting the affected families and community.

Prince Ogungbangbe’s donation is expected to provide immediate relief to the victims, as they begin the process of rebuilding their lives and homes

His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr) Olusayo Akeem Ogungbangbe the Owaloko of Iloko Ijesa and residents of the community have expressed their profound gratitude for Prince Hon. Bayo Ogungbangbe’s benevolent gesture, recognizing the significance of his timely intervention in their hour of need.

The Commissioner’s gesture has been widely praised by residents and stakeholders in the state, who have lauded his response and compassion towards the plight of the flood victims. Many have expressed their appreciation for his commitment to the welfare of the people of Osun State.
