Words of advise have gone to movie practitioners to portray the good image of the Nigerian Police in their productions.
This, according to the state chairman, would instil confidence in the Nigerian Police.
The Ogun State PCRC Chairman, High Chief, Ven. (Dr) Samson Kunle Popoola (JP) gave the advice at an elaborate awards ceremony by Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Odeda Local Govt Chapter on Sunday.
The State Chairman, said it loud and clear in the presence of the Ogun State Governor of TAMPAN, Owolabi Ajasa and the National President, Mr Bolaji Amusan, that practitioners should desist from portraying the police as a corrupt organisation.
Two prominent members of PCRC and the state commissioner of Police, CP Awolowo Ajogun, were among the esteemed personalities that were awarded.
The Chairman of Odeda Division, Chief Mrs Elizabeth Adedokun and the Director of Media and a grassroot mobilizer, Asiwaju Dapo Wahab were presented with distinguished awards.
Asiwaju Wahab was in his citation, described as a community mobilizer and a dedicated grassroot individual.
CP Ajogun, represented by the PPRO, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi was described as a dedicated crime fighter and a renowned Police Officer.
