Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has expressed deep sorrow over the recent passing of Prof. Joseph Odemuyiwa, former Special Adviser on Vocational and Technical Education, in a tragic motor accident.
Governor Abiodun, speaking during a condolence visit to the deceased’s residence in Isara Remo, described Odemuyiwa as a valuable team member and a cherished asset to his administration.
Represented by Deputy Governor Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Governor Abiodun praised Odemuyiwa’s dedication and contributions to the state’s educational advancement during his tenure in the Cabinet.
He extended heartfelt condolences to the family and urged them to find solace in the impactful life Odemuyiwa lived.
Hon. Felix Fajobi, speaking on behalf of the family, expressed gratitude for the government’s support and described Odemuyiwa as a father figure and a benefactor whose legacy transcended the education sector, impacting many lives.
In another development, Governor Abiodun mourned the passing of renowned playwright Pa Jimi Solanke, acknowledging his significant contributions to Nigerian culture through music, acting, and storytelling.
The governor, represented by Deputy Governor Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, pledged government’s commitment to preserving Solanke’s rich legacy and providing support to his family during this difficult time.
