Ogun Addresses Residents’ Concerns Following Alleged Security Incident

In response to the reported invasion by unidentified herdsmen in a community within the Obafemi Owode local government area of Ogun State, the government has reassured residents and alleviated fears of a potential security breach.

Ambassador Lanre Ogunsola, the Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government, addressed journalists shortly after a Security Stakeholders meeting held at Orile Imo Community.

The meeting included the participation of security agencies, traditional rulers, chiefs, youth leaders, and local security outfits.

Ogunsola emphasized that the government’s foremost priority is to safeguard the lives and properties of residents.

He assured the public that the State government is actively managing the situation, leading to the convening of the emergency meeting.

He clarified that there is no cause for alarm and explained that the meeting is part of the government’s proactive measures to prevent any insecurity challenges in the area.

While urging the community to maintain peaceful coexistence, the LG Chairman encouraged residents to continue supporting the government and security agencies by providing necessary information.
