The Nigerian police have issued a stern warning to motorists regarding over-speeding, particularly on the recently renovated 3rd Mainland Bridge.

In a press statement signed by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, and provided to Galaxy News by FCID Annex Alagbon, the police condemned a recent lone accident on the 3rd Mainland Bridge during Eid al-Fitr celebrations, along with other similar incidents nationwide.

The statement highlighted that most road accidents stem from either over-speeding or reckless driving, leading to tragic loss of life and significant damage to families.

The police emphasized their commitment to reducing crashes on highways and announced mandatory adherence to traffic rules and regulations for all motorists to ensure the safety of lives and property.
