As China’s National Day (Oct. 1) approaches, national flags, flag stickers and other celebration paraphernalia are in heavy demand.
A flag manufacturer in east China’s Jiaxing city of Zhejiang Province is rushing to make more flags on Tuesday. The factory, a designated production enterprise by the government, has made more than two million flags for the recent rocketing orders from home and abroad.
In celebration of the National Day, citizens and units across the country would hang national flags along streets, communities and outside shops. “This year’s National Day marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China; we feel so proud to make the flags for our motherland,” said the workers, who are willing to work overtime to complete the orders.
