Libelous Report: Ex-CBN D’Gov, Tunde Lemo Demands Full Retraction, Apology From Online TV

Former Central Bank Deputy Governor, Tunde Lemo, has again demanded a full retraction and apology from Babagbagede Imo TV, an online TV, for accusing him of stealing $270+ Million from the Federal Government.

Lemo, through his lawyer, Adebayo Ayodele & Co, stressed that the partial retraction by Babagbagede Imo TV on Monday, 27 November, 2023 was totally unacceptable.

The letter, titled: Re-Tunde Lemo Steals $270+ Million, Tunde Lemo, A Disgrace To Yoruba Race, a copy received by Tropic Reporters reads:

“We are the retained Solicitors to REVD. TUNDE LEMO (hereinafter called “our client) regarding the above captioned matter”.

“Pursuant to our letter of 24 November, 2023, it was brought to our attention that you issued a partial retraction of your slanderous statement made on Babagbagede Imo TV (an Online TV) on the effect that REVD. TUNDE LENO Stole $270+ Million and Tunde Lemo disgraces Yourba race”.

“It is our firm instruction to state your partial retraction made on Babagbagede Imo TV (an Online TV) on Monday, 27 November, 2023is totally unacceptable”.

‘In effect, we hereby demand that FULL AND SPECIFIC RETRACTION of your slanderous statement made against our client be retracted; stating our client’s name”.

“Failure of which, we shall not hesitate to seek appropriate remedy within the ambit of the law on behalf of our client; without further recourse to you”, it added.
