Lagos Govt Set To Restore Kudirat Abiola Memorial Cenotaph

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has approved the restoration and preservation of the Kudirat Abiola Memorial Cenotaph, located along Mobolaji Johnson Way, besides 7-UP Plant in Oregun, Ikeja.

The Museum & Monuments Department of the State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture inspected the Cenotaph recently to ascertain the level of work done so far.

Kudirat Abiola, a democracy activist married to the late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, was murdered on June 4, 1996.

Recall that the monument was erected and commissioned in the year 2000 by Lagos State Government.
