Kwara Bars All Schools Against 3rd Term Tuitions As School Resume October 5

Kwara State Government has given a directive to all schools against charging for tuition for third term as schools resume Monday, October 5, 2020.

The State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Fatimah Ahmed at a stakeholders meeting in Ilorin on Saturday, enjoined schools to organize revision classes and placement examination within two weeks of resumption.

Represented by the Director, Quality Assurance Bureau, Mrs Comfort Abioye, she said Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) will start on Tuesday 6th, October, 2020 while Common Entrance will hold on 17th October, 2020.

She advised schools to strictly comply with the COVID-19 safety guidelines.

Meanwhile, the state has released the 2020/2021 school calendar.

First term will be from October 5 to December 18, 2020

Second term starts january 4 to March 31, 2021, while Third Term commences April 26 to end July 30, 2021
