The people of Ikoga, Ado odo, has appreciated Gov Abiodun for approving the Construction of the Ikoga to Ado-Odo road in his ongoing developmental strides across the State.
The delegation led by His Royal Highness, Oba Lateef Akanni, the Olofin Adimula of Ado-Odo, was received by the Deputy Governor, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele on behalf of the Governor in her office, acknowledged the present administration as being responsive and accommodating.
Oba lateef Akanni while praying for the government for a successful tenure, added that Prince Dapo Abiodun was the first Governor to take interest in the plight of the People of Ikonga and Ado-odo in general by providing the necessary solution to the dearth of good roads in the region.
Responding, the Deputy Governor Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele said the visit has shown that the people of the region do not take things for granted and has given honour to whom it is due, saying she is proud to be a daughter of the Ogun west senatorial district of Ogun State.
Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele informed that there has been alot of concerned agitations due to the deplorable state of roads particularly in the Ado-Odo axis, adding that this approval was Governments way of delivering on the promise made to the people.
“ For those of us who know Prince Dapo Abiodun, we know him to be a very methodological person who is keen on doing what is right, he is a talk and do Governor, if he would not do it, he won’t promise it, he had assured that it will be done, what we see is the manifestation of a promise he made in January 2019 when he visited the area” she said
She thanked the delegation for finding time out to show their appreciation, saying it will encourage the Government to do more, while charging them to be patient that in no time more infrastructural development that will bring more investors to the area is in view.
Also Speaking Commissioner for Forestry, Hon. Tunji Akinosi also joined the delegation to appreciate the governor for not just the Ikoga road, but all other roads to be constructed across the state, noting that the approval came after careful scrutiny, thanking the Deputy Governor for the role she played in the whole process.
