More endorsements have come the way of Gubernatorial Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Ogun State, Otunba Rotimi Paseda, as he received the endorsement of Ijebu Atan Council of Baale and Chiefs in Ijebu North East local government area of the state.

The Baales declared their support on Thursday when the SDP candidate visited Ijebu North East as part of his campaign rallies in the state.

The chairman, Ijebu Atan Council of Baale, Chief Abiodun Osisanwo who led other 32 Village heads to the campaign ground held at OGD square, Ijebu Atan decried the worsened condition of their roads and non-payment of monthly salary by the state government to the village heads.

Chief Osisanwo however urged Paseda to pay the backlogs of cooperative deductions of the state civil servants if elected.

Responding, the 2015 UPN governorship candidate, Otunba Rotimi Paseda therefore promised to upgrade infrastructure around the length and breadth of Ijebu North East local government.

He said, it is an irresponsible government that neglect the development of the rural areas for the urban cities, saying assuring his government’s resolve to integrate the rural areas if elected.

Paseda who decried lack of portable water in the state, assured the electorate to eradicate drinking of borehole water by the residents.

According to him, pipe borne water is a necessity in every home, as it reduces risk of contacting water borne diseases through the untreated water system.

“It is no hidden fact that, there’s lack of portable water in the state for about seven years now. When APC government came to power in 2011 in the state, its cut off the pipe supplying water to every household and communities in the state due to road construction.

“But as soon as the government completed the road construction in some communities, it failed to connect the pipes to make the residents have access to drinkable water. This is sad, water that is a natural resources has now been come a costly commodity.

“Borehole water has now become a goldmine for our people because the government has failed in its responsibility in providing social amenities for the electorate. When I look at the suffering of my people in getting water it makes me sad. If am elected, I will make sure all the social amenities are provided especially pipe borne water which will put an end to provision of borehole by the people”.
