HYPOCRISY: GETTING US MORE DEEPER INTO SHITS

Date:

Reading time: 2 Minutes

Aside of the segregation from the stronghold of political, religious and ethnicity that is been made to divide us in this country, another is HYPOCRISY

HYPOCRISY on its own is a sin, but Nigerians have made it to be a daily business and of course, a good way of life, hypocrites keep increasing in this government and not sure they will be reduced. Of course, it’s another virtue they believed in.

Taking us back to 2011, when Buhari urged Nigerians to learn from the Egyptians revolution which shook the nation for 18-days, in which he asked Nigerians to also do shame in order to deliver the Nigeria from the hold of bad leadership, all because he’s interested in the seat of power.

But when his advice was worked on, the leader of the team, Omoyele Sowore, was arrested with the belief that he wants to overthrow the “constituted government” and force himself as the new president,  and till today, he’s still in the DSS custody over this allegation.

As hypocritical as Nigerians are, they are of the belief that Buhari’s revolution advice in 2011 wasn’t to overthrow the sitting government then but urging Nigerians to waylaid (vote) for better leader when the time of election come. This same Buhari made a remark in 2013,  when he said that there would be blood shed if the 2015 election is rigged.

Yet, based on these remarks in 2011 and 2013, he was not arrested or held in captive.

The fact is many people have misunderstood the prerogative meaning of the term “revolution” which is been used, indeed, it has many other meanings….they just need to understand that. Meanwhile, the desire of the #RevolutionNow group isn’t to overthrow the “constituted” government but rather to infuse some new desires into the system.

So if I said, that there will be a “banking revolution” tomorrow does that means I will kill all the Bank Managing Directors and assume as the new MD?

This is what the government ought to have done, call the group and seek for what they want instead of “kidnapping” Him and planning to prosecute him over what???

So, since we can infuse another meaning to Buhari’s revolution remark in 2013 and 2011, why can’t we do same to Sowore’s  in 2019, even though he’s working on Buhari’s advice?
