Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has commiserated with the Chief Imam of Gbagura, Prof. Kamaldeen Balogun, on the death of his wife, Alhaja Mistura Balogun, which occurred in the early hours of today, describing her demise as a great loss, not only to the immediate family but to the entire state.
Governor Abiodun, who spoke during a prayer session, at Gbagura Central Mosque, Agura, Abeokuta, described the deceased as a loving, accommodating and caring mother.
Represented by the Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, the governor added that the late Alhaja Balogun lived an exemplary life, worthy of emulation, urging the children to be of good character as their mother.
“We regret the passing of our mother and she will be sorely missed. The husband of the deceased is a man of honour and has contributed in no small measure to the propagation of Islam and the society at large”, he said.
While praying that Almighty Allah repose the soul of the decease and grant her Aljana Fidraus, be with her families, especially the husband and grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
Earlier, the Consultant to the Governor on Islamic Affairs, Sheik Iskeel Lawal, described late Alhaja Balogun as a mother to all, religious, humble and a giver, urging Muslim Faithful to fear God, adding that people should bequeath enduring legacies as death is inevitable.
