Edo State Poised for Good Governance Under APC’s Okpebholo, Says Senator Adeola

Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Ogun West), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Senator Monday Okpebholo, the newly elected Governor-Elect of Edo State, following his decisive victory in the recently concluded gubernatorial election.

In a statement released on Wednesday by Chief Kayode Odunaro, his media adviser, Senator Adeola commended the people of Edo State for their electoral choice, affirming that the victory of Senator Okpebholo reflects the true will of the electorate.

He expressed confidence that under the new leadership, the people of Edo would experience a long-awaited era of good governance.

“I want to congratulate my colleague and friend, Distinguished Senator Okpebholo, and the good people of Edo State for conducting a peaceful and successful governorship election,” Adeola said.

“With the election of an All Progressives Congress (APC) governor-elect, I am optimistic that Edo State will soon begin to enjoy the benefits of good governance that have been lacking in the past.”

Senator Adeola praised the character and capabilities of Senator Okpebholo, describing him as a “silent achiever” and a “humane person.”

He added that his personal interactions with Okpebholo in the Senate have left him convinced that the Governor-Elect would steer Edo State in a direction of progress and prosperity.

Highlighting the political significance of Edo’s return to the APC fold, Senator Adeola expressed hope that the new administration would usher in an era of development for the state, benefiting the people across various sectors.

The senator also called for a smooth and peaceful transition of power from the outgoing administration.

He urged Senator Okpebholo to be magnanimous in victory and advised those who contested the election but lost to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship in the months and years to come.

“This is a time for unity and focus on the greater good of Edo State,” Senator Adeola remarked, urging all parties to work together for the state’s progress.

The congratulatory message from Senator Adeola not only underscores the importance of collaboration among political leaders but also emphasizes the need for unity as Edo embarks on this new chapter under the leadership of Senator Okpebholo.
