Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State affirmed on Wednesday in Asaba that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would refuse to accept any election outcomes that are not authentic during the upcoming local government elections in the state.

Speaking at a mega rally where two APC chairmanship candidates and a former state assembly member defected to PDP, Governor Oborevwori emphasized his commitment to ensuring free, fair, and credible elections.

He warned against any attempts to manipulate the results, asserting that only genuine results would be acknowledged.

Acknowledging the efforts of party candidates and leaders in campaigning across communities, units, and wards, Governor Oborevwori urged voters to turn out with their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs), highlighting their importance in determining election outcomes.

He also expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from party members statewide and reaffirmed his focus on delivering good governance to all residents of Delta State since assuming office.
