The nation’s food security has been greatly improved through a corps member, Miss Damilola Atoyebi with the state code OS/19B/0101 producing a huge number of cucumber fruits on her farm at Ikoyi town, Isokan Local Government, Osun State.

Atoyebi harvested her tremendous farm yields while experiencing her agro-allied trainings under the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programs in the State. She committed herself into the practice by cultivating on a wide plot of land, thereby improving the country’s food production and security.

According to Atoyebi, a nation’s food production and security should be a collective effort of her citizens, not only government responsibility. She further said that every Nigerian, even corps members must actively seek to participate in eradicating hunger in the country.

In the meantime, Atoyebi expressed her gratitude to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for giving her the opportunity to maximize her service year through the SAED programme. She also encouraged fellow corps members in the State not to give up on these programmes but seek to improve their employability skills by plunging into them.
