……..To announce new political party soon
The Director-General of the Tinubu Support Management Council, Abdulmumin Jibrin has announced his departure from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Jibrin, a former member of the House of Representatives, made this known via his verified Twitter page on Saturday.
The ex-federal lawmaker noted that he was tired of the APC, adding that he would announce his new political party soon.
“I have done my best for APC. Its time to move on. I will announce my new political party within the next 24 hours insha Allah. I will make a formal statement in due course. Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin,” he wrote.
This development, albeit shocking, will no doubt affect the presidential bid of the APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is considered the leading presidential aspirant under the ruling party, ahead of its primaries billed to hold this month.
That Jibrin, a dyed-in-the-wool supporter of the former Lagos State governor, decided to leave the APC is an indication that more troubles might await Tinubu and his “lifelong ambition” to become Nigeria’s president.
