Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation Strengthens Anti-Drug Campaign with NDLEA Visit in Oyo State

Ibadan – In a significant move towards combating drug abuse, the Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, led by President Alhaji Asiwaju Dapo Wahab, visited the Oyo State Command of the National Drug Law and Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria today, March 13, 2024.

During the visit, Alhaji Asiwaju Dapo Wahab emphasized the foundation’s commitment to reducing drug demand and addiction through various initiatives.

He commended NDLEA’s support and sought enhanced collaboration, especially in Oyo State, building on the success achieved in Ogun State.

The foundation’s president detailed the diverse approaches taken, including religious, community, and family programs, to tackle drug abuse.

He highlighted partnerships with security agencies and the current campaign targeting schools, stressing the role of traditional institutions in the fight against drugs.

As a gesture of support, the Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, in collaboration with the Foundation for a Drug-Free World, donated 250 informational leaflets titled “The Truth About Drugs” to NDLEA Oyo State Command.

NDLEA Commander in Oyo State, Olayinka Joe-Fadile, commended the foundation’s efforts in supporting the agency’s mission and assured the foundation of continued collaboration and partnership.

Notable attendees from the NDLEA entourage included DSC – DC Anteyi John, DC Operations and Training – DC Fambi Kwandi, DC DDR – DC Henry Chilaka, AC Admin – AC Okorie O, AC Operations – AC Rotimi Audu, and PRO – CSN Okuwobi Mutiat A.

Accompanying Asiwaju Dapo Wahab on the visit were Chief (Mrs.) Bolanle Dapo Wahab, Mrs. Elizabeth Eweje, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Ogundimu, and Adejola Adeyemi Crown, representing various roles within the Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation.

The foundation’s dedication to addressing the drug menace continues to receive recognition and accolades both nationally and internationally.
