The leadership of Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, led by its President, Asiwaju Dapo Wahab, on Wednesday paid a visit to Penpushing Media’s corporate headquarters, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, expressing interest in a potential partnership with the renowned media outlet.
During the visit, Asiwaju Dapo Wahab commended Penpushing Media’s achievements and authenticity.
“Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation is proud of you and proud to be associated with you. It is in line with this the management deem it fit to pay you a visit, and honestly what we met on ground confirmed that Penpushing Media is authentic”.
“Let me use this opportunity to inform your management that we are interested in partnership with Penpushing Media”, he said.
Asiwaju Dapo Wahab explained the foundation’s focus on combating drug abuse in society, emphasizing the prevalence of drug-related issues globally.
He stated, “You probably know someone who has been affected by drugs, directly or indirectly,” highlighting the urgency of addressing this societal menace.
He further disclosed the foundation’s collaboration with agencies such as the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), National Orientation Agency (NOA), and Public Complaints Commission (PCC) in the fight against drug abuse.
Acknowledging Penpushing Media’s commitment to social corporate responsibility, Asiwaju Dapo Wahab expressed the foundation’s interest in partnering with the organization. He praised Penpushing Media as “a pride of journalism” and commended its competence, diligence, and professionalism.
In response, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji, the founder of Penpushing Media, highlighted the organization’s mission to transform journalism practice for the better.
He emphasized the commitment to combating fake news and ensuring credible sources of information worldwide.
Kayode-Adedeji noted Penpushing Media’s journey, which began in 2016, and its subsequent registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2017. He underscored the organization’s dedication to correcting the menace of fake news and reviving the dwindling fortune of journalism practice.
