The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke has urged the outgoing corps members not to give up on SAED as this may be the saving grace for them in the nearest future.

He gave this advise while speaking at the passing-out ceremony of the 2018 Batch ‘C’ stream 1 corps members held across the four zones of the State.

Adegoke, who visited the venue of the certificate distribution at Ikirun zone on Thursday 3rd October, 2019, noted that the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme is a take home souvenir for the passing-out corps members.

He advised them to be committed to the training acquired through the programme as this would be a stepping stone to making them employers of labour in the future.

Adegoke, who commended the outgoing corps members for leaving a lasting legacy in their various host communities said their communities would ever remain grateful to them for their contributions to the development of the communities.

He equally urged them to always remember the NYSC Scheme and the discipline the scheme impacted upon their lives.

He further admonished them to go into the larger society with a mindset to continue to impact on the society positively.

“Remember it is not over until it is over, the end of the service year is not the end of service to the nation ” he added.

He reminded them that NYSC has prepared them for their future and they are therefore, expected to make good use of such opportunities.

Adegoke further hinted that a total of 1604 corps members successfully completed the service year while 3 had their service year extended and a total of 8 members for the stream absconded.

He concluded by congratulating the members for their tenacity and courage to complete the service year without a
break.

The State Coordinator kick-started the distribution of the certificate of national service by carrying out a sample distribution before the field officers took over the distribution across the zones.
