The Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the appointment of Hon. Gani Audu as his Chief of Staff.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Ikhilor, who emphasized that Audu’s appointment is expected to assist Governor Okpebholo in implementing impactful reforms across the state.
According to the statement, the appointment takes effect immediately.
Born on August 18, 1969, Hon. Gani Audu boasts an impressive educational and political background. He earned a Higher National Diploma (HND) from Auchi Polytechnic in 1994, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from Benson Idahosa University in 2011, and recently completed a Master of Science in Intelligence and Global Security at Baze University, Abuja, in 2024.
Audu’s political experience includes serving as the Chairman of Etsako West Local Government Council from 2004 to 2010 and representing Etsako West Constituency 1 in the Edo State House of Assembly from 2015 to 2023. He also contested as the Deputy Governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress in the 2020 Edo State Governorship elections.
