Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the last election, has appointed Ibrahim Umar as the new spokesman for the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR).
This appointment follows the recent appointment of the previous spokesman, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, as the interim National Coordinator of the Obedient Movement.
In a statement released on Sunday, Tanko announced Umar’s new role. Umar, a graduate in Computer Media Analysis from Bayero University Kano (BUK), hails from Wase Plateau State and is a member of the Obi-Datti Media Group.
He is recognized as a strong Obidient member from North Central.
Dr. Yunusa Tanko stated, “Ibrahim Umar brings valuable experience and commitment to his new role. His background and dedication make him well-suited to lead the POMR.”
In response to his appointment, Umar emphasized his commitment to coordinating the activities of the Obedient Movement on both national and international fronts.
“We, therefore, appeal to members of the public to cooperate with these Nigerians in their new endeavour as we continue the struggle towards dismantling the gang of political criminals holding our dear nation hostage,” Umar said.
